About Mike Phirman

Mike Phirman is a fantastic songwriter of comedy music for kids (not kids music, HUGE distinction. Seriously). I have been a fan of Mike’s since I heard “American Dinosaurs”

and “Anything”

with his band “Hard ’n Phirm” with Chris Hardwick, and saw him perform live here in Portland a couple of years ago with my oldest daughter (her first concert and she actually liked Mike more than headliner Jonathan Coulton, but don’t tell him that in case he is ever on this show). One of the things I really like about Mike is that he is really genuinely nice and was just so pleasant to talk to. Also, I surprise him at the end of the conversation, but he was a really great sport about it! Just to be clear, I was actually really nervous doing this recording, because I am kind of a big fan. Also, we recorded two sketches! The second one will have to wait until the end of the season, but there is something to look forward to!

Make sure to check out Mike’s latest album, “The Very Last Songs I Will Ever Record (Part 1)” where you can get it on BandCamp for $5!
